September: Creation
Take delight as you watch your preschoolers express their God-given creativity. Preschoolers love to create things. They take pride in their creative work and love to have it displayed and appreciated. As they learn the story of how God made our world, they will be excited to realize that their own creativity is a gift from God. This month’s lessons will teach them that God made our world and that people are God’s most special creations.
October: Noah
Preschoolers are anxious to gain independence. They’re proud of each new skill and eager to show you all the things that they’ve learned to do on their own. But when they’re confronted with a new and scary situation, they’ll run to a trusted adult for comfort and shelter. They need to know that Good offers comfort and shelter through all the storms of life, and that they, like Noah, can trust God to watch over them and care for them with a loving hand.
November: Abraham and Sarah
Like Abraham, preschoolers are on a lifelong journey to know God better. At first, they don’t know what God is like. But as they hear Bible stories and experience God’s love, they begin to love and trust him. As we reinforce the fact that God is with them every step of the way, they learn that God watches over the, just as he watched over Abraham. During this month’s lessons they will have fun learning about God’s love as they travel with Abraham.
December: Jesus is Born
Preschoolers love the celebration of Christmas with its glittery decorations and enticing packages, the special foods that fill our tables, and the hospitality shared with family and friends. It takes extra effort to bring our children past the glitter, the gifts, and the abundance to the true meaning of Christmas. This month’s lessons demonstrate the wonder of Jesus’ coming and point them to the true meaning of Christmas—the arrival of Jesus, God’s promised Savior and the most special gift of all.
